MOS becomes an Employee Resource Organization

Good Morning members

I want to congratulate MOS on our approval and elevated Status to Employee Resource Group. I want to thank Catherine Haines and the Office of Diversity and Inclusion for recognizing MOS potential and recommending MOS submit an application for the upgrade. This upgrade is a testament of our members dedication and great service to your local chapters and the shared vision of what MOS can accomplish as an collective group from each national board and MOS president before I was elected to the post. We are starting to display the visions and purpose of what MOS founder Jim Clifford and three others envisioned many years ago. I do not want to under play the impact the hard work and dedication our members displayed in 2017, our supporting veterans groups, disaster relief and issuance of MOS 11-11 funds to those in need helped shine the spotlight on MOS nationally, internally and externally. Thank you to David Heiser and Carol Permar for coordinating and orchestrating MOS relief efforts. I will continue to seek support and advocate for MOS members and veterans within the federal agencies. As an Employee Resource Group MOS will have an extended role in strategic planning and helping shape the hiring and retention benefits for newly onboarding veterans and current veteran employees. This upgrade is a positive step in MOS reaching our goals and becoming the impactful organization we want to be. Congratulation and thank you for your membership and continued service to the country.
