The IRS recently announced to employees that they should use IRM section 6.630.2 – Absence and Leave for Military-Related Reasons.
Guidance on the IRS Source site says to use this IRM section, instead of IRM section 6.630.1 IRS Absence and Leave, which has yet to be updated.
The guidance also says to talk to your manager and contact the Military Deployment Program Team if you are an employee called to military duty. An FAQ section can be found on the IRS Source as well.
